A celebration of literature and families in downtown Redmond, the free event involves artists, authors, businesses and sponsors in an effort to raise money to support children in foster care. All proceeds will benefit Central Oregon Foster Parents Association (COFPA)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–October 12, 2023–Redmond, OR–Harcourts The Garner Group Real Estate, a real estate agency founded in 2001 and based in Bend and Redmond, Oregon, will participate in a free treasure hunt event to raise money for foster children in downtown Redmond on October 21, 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm which begins at Herringbone Bookstore located at 422 SW 6th St in Redmond.
Participants will activate a love for adventure and learning, hunting down their treasures at locations in businesses located throughout downtown, including Harcourts The Garner Group. At each location, children will be encouraged to dream up and weave their own stories, interacting with local authors and receiving prizes and special offers for exclusive discounts to local food trucks and cafes.
In addition to the treasure hunt, there will also be an online silent auction to further the support for foster families. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to COFPA, which raises vital funds to support Candy Cane Lane, its annual Christmas event designed to raise money for children in foster care, and for its Foster Parent Mentor Program.
